Today we launched a gorgeous modern website for nationally-recognized fishing guide & outfitter, Bret Stuart. Bret’s been featured in dozens of regional & national industry magazines, books, and TV shows as an expert fishing guide. The design incorporates stunning high-resolution photography, high quality programming, a gorgeous layout, and fast load times.
Parallax scrolling
We implemented a stunning parallax-scrolling design feature on the homepage. Parallax scrolling is a design trend that emerged in 2011 and has been gaining steam ever since. Parallax scrolling offers the illusion of movement in a 2-dimensional environment. Through the use of HTML5 and CSS, layered elements can “move” against each other, or at different rates than each other, giving a very full and engaging user experience. Scrolling up or down the homepage engages the parallax feature. It’s beautiful and you need to see it in action!
Mobile Responsive Design
We designed & built this website with mobile consideration. Responsive design was implemented, and the website’s structure & content re-scale itself for both tablets and smartphones.
Lightning-Fast Load Time
The website uses large, high-resolution photographic elements. While these elements are engaging & compelling, it also presents development challenges. Large images often slow load time. However, slow load time is not a possibility at Limelight Department. Our brilliant programming team built in auto-sizing tools & measures to protect the website’s load time. The result? Quick loading on all devices including smart phones.
